Youthreach Ballina – Final Week Creative Project (Replaces Final 4 Days of Work Experience)

🎨 What is the Creative Project?

In keeping with our Creative Schools project, this assignment gives you the opportunity to express yourself, reflect on your learning, and contribute ideas to your centre in a way that suits your interests and strengths.

Choose one of the following options:

  1. Creative Ideas for the Centre
    • Propose something new for the Youthreach Centre (e.g. a mural idea, a student-led event, a wellbeing initiative, or a social media campaign).
    • You can submit a written proposal, storyboard, or a design plan.
  2. Individual Creative Piece
    • Create an artwork (drawing, painting, sculpture, t-shirt etc.).
    • Make a short film or video.
    • Design a digital piece (graphic design, collage, t-shirt design, clothing design, etc.).
    • Design something on paper (graphic design, collage, t-shirt design, clothing design, etc.)
  3. Creative Expression
    • Write a poem, short story, or lyrics.
    • Compose or record a piece of music, rap.
    • Create a zine or illustrated booklet.

Your project should reflect the 2.5 days that you have to work on it.

🧭 Guidelines:

  • The project must be your own work, completed over the Tuesday, Wednesday and some of Thursday.
  • Include at least 300 words of written reflection on your aims, methods and results.
  • You are encouraged to work independently but you can reach out for support by phone or email if needed.
  • Bring your finished project to the centre on Thursday 3rd July. You will present it informally to Damian and Sean.
  • Payment for final week will depend on evidence that work was undertaken on the project.

Let’s see what you can create!
